The Athletic Association provides direct support to OLV children through activities and fundraisers planned for the current school year. Every member’s time and talent is valuable to the success of our school. The Association provides the financing for extracurricular sports. It provides the workers and events necessary for an ongoing sports program. Expenses include uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, and gymnasium improvements. All parents of OLV athletes are encouraged to join the Association and attend monthly meetings (second Monday of each month) all sharing an equal voice in its stability and growth. We are always seeking volunteers with positive “sporting” attitudes and lots of imagination! The Athletic Association of OLV is committed to offering an athletic program that facilitates the spiritual, emotional, and physical growth of our young athletes. We will provide our athletes with the opportunity to:

  • Utilize the talent and ability that God has given them
  • Develop good sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual responsibility as Christian children
Learn integrity and quality in all that they do Our goals include:
  • Developing basic skills and learning the value of team play
  • Learning the value of each member’s role on a team
  • To encourage each child to believe in him/herself and to do his/her best in every activity they join
  • To see and appreciate the likeness of God in others
  • To foster an effective communication network which builds positive relationships

Working together, parents and coaches will encourage the search for knowledge and an appreciation of each person’s capabilities and differences in a caring environment.
