Registration for students entering the 1st grade in September is now open to all parishioners. Students must complete both first and second grade before receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. Registration forms are available at the Parish Office or by calling 732-238-9222 and requesting one. All registrations must be accompanied by the student’s Baptismal Certificate. Re-registrations will only be accepted through June 30th. Letters were mailed to all students registered and not re-registered for the 2008/2009 school year. The Parish School of Religion is open to all students grade one through eight who are registered members of the parish. Classes are held September through April. The class times are:

Tuesday 4:30-5:30 PM Grades 1 thru 4
Tuesday 7:00-800 PM Grades 5 thru 6
Wednesday 4:30-5:30 PM Grades 1 thru 4
Wednesday 7:00-800 PM Grades 7 thru 8

Registration for the program begins in April and ends August 1 for all re-registrations. Any new registrations must be accompanied by the child’s baptismal certificate arid any transfer papers from previously attended CCD programs or Parochial Schools.

Fees are based on active/inactive parishioners. An active parishioner is one who participates in the parish community, especially by attending Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation. The only way we can make the distinction is by tracking parish contribution envelopes. Family Mass attendance will be evaluated before sacraments are received.

Sacramental Preparation is a two year program. Children receiving Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist must attend classes in both the first and second grades before reception of the sacraments. Likewise, preparation for the sacrament of confirmation is also two years, seventh and eighth grades.

There is an RCIC program for children who have not attended any CCD classes and/or have not received the sacraments with their peers. Please call the CCD office for more information.
